TCS Sydney Marathon presented by ASICS 2025

Defining Sydney’s World Stage Moment

The 2025 TCS Sydney Marathon marked a new era for Australian sport – Sydney’s debut as an Abbott World Marathon Major.

Mana was charged with bringing this milestone to life, transforming the city into a marathon theatre that reflected its ambition, beauty, and Olympic spirit.

Bringing the Vision to Life

From the North Sydney start line to the Opera House finish, Mana delivered a striking creative program that elevated every touchpoint.

Towering start structures, a 10-metre animated LED finish arch, and city-wide branding connected Sydney’s landmarks in one cohesive story.

The design extended through merchandise, medals, uniforms, and expo activations, ensuring runners and spectators felt part of something truly global.

An Unforgettable Experience

The result was an event that looked and felt world-class.

Sydney became a living canvas of colour, motion, and pride — celebrated by locals, shared by visitors, and broadcast to millions worldwide.

Every element worked in harmony to create a seamless, Major-calibre experience that redefined what a marathon in Australia could be.

Celebrating Legacy Through Design

Mana’s creative direction for the volunteer uniform paid homage to Sydney’s Olympic legacy, with shirts inspired by the Sydney 2000 Games, reimagined in a modern palette with refined detailing.

Together with complementary finisher shirts and medals, the designs created a powerful visual thread connecting past and present, celebrating how far Sydney has come as a global sporting capital.

Delivering a Major-Calibre Experience

Beyond design, Mana worked collaboratively with the Sydney Marathon team along with broadcast, technical, and signage partners to deliver both the commercial and logistical elements of the look and feel program.

This included managing partner integrations across course branding, coordination with signage and print suppliers, LED operators and overseeing logistics to ensure seamless implementation on course and at the Sydney Running Show expo.

A New Legacy

With 35,000 participants from over 150 nations and more than 300,000 spectators, Sydney’s Major debut wasn’t just a sporting success – it was a cultural moment. Mana didn’t simply decorate the city: it defined the identity of Australia’s biggest mass-participation event and set a new benchmark for global event presentation.
