Launching Indonesia’s New Multisport Flagship
Owned and operated by Mana Group, the myBCA Belitung Multisport Festival launched in April 2026 and has quickly redefined the multisport landscape in Indonesia, combining world-class racing, destination tourism, and community participation into a premium festival experience.
Bringing together athletes, spectators, partners, and local communities, the multi-day festival celebrated endurance sport, culture, and lifestyle on one of Indonesia’s most striking coastlines.
A New Benchmark in Event Delivery
Registrations reached full capacity early, highlighting the growing demand for large-scale participation sport experiences within the region.
The event established a new benchmark for multisport delivery in Southeast Asia, positioning Belitung as an emerging destination for international endurance events.
Building the Event from the Ground Up
Mana designed every component of the festival ecosystem, from rolling out a full brand identity, website build, social channels, and event look and feel to laying down the operational framework, course mapping, on-island recce, and coordination required to deliver a safe, high-quality athlete experience.
Commercial Strategy and Partnership Foundations
Mana established the commercial model for the event and secured myBCA as Naming Rights Partner, while developing additional partnership frameworks designed for category alignment and long-term scalability.
Working closely with tourism bodies and accommodation partners, Mana also helped shape an integrated participant travel and event-weekend experience aimed at showcasing Belitung as a leading destination for sport tourism.
A Complete Athlete and Community Experience
Mana designed the full suite of race formats — Standard Distance Triathlon, 2km Open Water Swim, 5K, 10K and Half Marathon events, plus the Pho3nix Kids Fun Run.
Race week operations were delivered in close collaboration with local partners and sponsors, combining Mana’s technical experience operating events across Europe and Asia Pacific with the agility to adapt to local cultural nuances and communication styles.
Driving Authentic Credibility
Mana appointed four-time Triathlon World Champion and Mana Group Chairman Chris McCormack as Race Ambassador.
Through media appearances and race week engagements, McCormack connected directly with local clubs and athletes while also engaging Indonesian dignitaries, partners, and key stakeholders.
His presence and participation brought international credibility, experience, and visibility.
Integrated Communications Strategy
Media, PR, photography, and content capture formed a core pillar of the festival build.
Mana developed and executed an integrated communications strategy across owned and earned channels, ensuring a consistent event narrative while tailoring content and storytelling for relevance to local audiences and regional markets.
Mana executed an end-to-end social media campaign from pre-launch through post-event coverage, driving high-impact outcomes.
One of the best multisports events in Indonesia. Nice venue and well-organised. Will definitely be back for this race because happiness is guaranteed!
