Mana has played a pivotal role in delivering some of the world’s most significant sporting events, demonstrating an unparalleled ability to manage complex, high-visibility projects that attract international audiences and governing bodies.
From redefining the marathon experience on one of the world’s most iconic city stages to shaping the broadcast and commercial blueprint for global championship events, Mana’s work reflects both creative ambition and operational excellence.
Sydney Marathon makes WMM debut
The 2025 TCS Sydney Marathon presented by ASICS marked the unveiling of a bold vision to redefine how a marathon should look, feel, and resonate on the world stage. Sydney’s debut as an Abbott World Marathon Major demanded a level of spectacle and precision worthy of the world’s elite events, and Mana delivered exactly that.
Mana didn’t simply decorate the city: it defined the identity of Australia’s biggest mass-participation event and set a new benchmark for global event presentation, positioning the event alongside the likes of London, Boston, New York, Berlin, Chicago and Tokyo.
With 35,000 participants from over 150 nations and more than 300,000 spectators, Sydney’s Major debut wasn’t just a sporting success – it was a cultural moment.
World Athletics
Mana Group was appointed by Athletics Australia and World Athletics to drive brand and marketing development, broadcast production, and media operations for the 2023 World Athletics Cross Country Championships.
The world championship brought 700 elite athletes from over 60 nations to Bathurst, Australia, with Mana overseeing the execution that ensured a seamless global broadcast reaching audiences worldwide.
By shaping the event’s visual identity, media delivery, and broadcast strategy, Mana elevated these traditional sporting formats into compelling, world-class spectacles.
World Aquatics
Mana was also engaged to manage commercial services for the 2022 World Swimming Championships (25m), collaborating with World Aquatics, Swimming Australia, and the government of the state of Victoria.
Working alongside Gravity Media, Mana supported commercial rights delivery and broadcast production for an action-packed six-day event featuring more than 800 of the world’s best swimmers, including superstars such as Caeleb Dressel.
The championship’s broadcast from Melbourne reached over 500 million viewers globally through World Aquatics’ international partners, and aired live on Nine across Australia. Mana’s commercial and operational expertise helped maximise both visibility and value for partners while delivering a seamless world-class championship experience.
