Mana Sports and Entertainment Group proudly announces the signing of British triathlon sensation Kate Waugh to its athlete management roster.
Waugh, with world and European junior and Under 23 titles already under her belt, is set to rise to new heights as she takes on the challenge of competing on the World Triathlon circuit and the highly anticipated Olympic Games in Paris.
While she had featured multiple times on British Triathlon’s mixed relay start lists since 2014, Waugh marked a significant milestone in July 2022 by earning her first world championship stripes as part of the victorious mixed relay team in Hamburg. She then capped off her final year in Under 23 racing by claiming the world title in Abu Dhabi..
Building on her success, Waugh secured her first Top 5 finish at a World Triathlon Championship Series race in May 2023, then at the Paris Olympic test event placed seventh in the individual race and contributed to Great Britain’s mixed relay silver. A stellar performance at the WTCS finale in Pontevedra where she finished second to compatriot Beth Potter has propelled her to a career-high ranking of 6th in the world.
She also claimed the title of Super League Triathlon Champion this year, coming full circle after having raced as a junior in Jersey in 2018 and competing in the Arena Games and last year’s championship series.
Waugh stated, “Mana is associated with some huge names in my sport, like Chris McCormack. He was such a legend of the sport, and to see the huge team that Mana has is something I wanted to be part of. It’s a real privilege to feel they’re wanting to invest their time and resources into me along with many other great athletes. I’m excited to see what we can do together and how we can make the sport bigger than what it is already.”
The signing has already borne its first partnership: Mana has brokered Waugh’s inclusion in the prestigious Bahrain Victorious 13 team roster for 2024. The move is seen to bring Waugh into the circles of top endurance athletes and usher her continued development on the world’s best triathlon team.
