Bringing One Hundred’s Ambassadors to the Forefront

How Mana coordinated athlete-led content to showcase One Hundred’s ambassadors to its global trail running community.

Elite ultra running is defined by what happens on race day, but the work behind a performance often tells an equally compelling story.

One Hundred® World Championship ambassadors are an international group of experienced ultra trail runners, bringing together champion athletes from across Europe, Asia and the Americas. Their backgrounds extend beyond competition, with experience in areas including nutrition, sports science, coaching, military service and environmental advocacy. Some compete while balancing full-time careers, while others educate, coach or explore wider issues through endurance. Their experience gives the One Hundred community practical insights into the sport, from race preparation and performance to the realities of life on the trails.

In 2026, Mana worked to bring more of these perspectives to the One Hundred brand channels, creating content that showcased the ambassadors’ expertise and experiences while giving the wider One Hundred community a closer connection to the athletes representing the championship.

Building a consistent content flow

The collaboration began with direct outreach and discussions around each ambassador’s racing calendar. By understanding which events athletes planned to attend, Mana could identify opportunities for race-specific collaborations and plan content around key moments throughout the season.

Mana established a simple monthly content flow, inviting ambassadors to submit photos and video clips from training, competition and everyday life as athletes. From there, Mana managed the entire editing and production process, including video edits, translations and subtitles, and final delivery for One Hundred’s channels.

This straightforward approach allowed the ambassadors to focus on capturing and sharing moments from their lives in the sport, with Mana transforming those raw contributions into relatable and inspirational content for the One Hundred audience.

Beyond the finish line

Race-specific collaborations connected athlete perspectives with key moments on the One Hundred calendar. Ahead of Costa Rica 200, defending champion Sandra Mejia featured in pre-race previews, while Fran Santin shared nutrition tips for runners preparing for the demands of ultra-distance racing. These collaborations gave the ambassadors an opportunity to contribute their individual knowledge while providing the One Hundred community with relevant insights ahead of a major event.

Recap posts also brought the wider ambassador network into focus, highlighting what athletes had been doing across the season and keeping their contributions visible between races. These formats helped extend the story beyond results, drawing on the experience of the athletes themselves to explore the preparation, knowledge and everyday realities behind ultra running.

Turning a shared experience into a social format

One of the strongest examples was the Only Ultra Runners Understand reel, which generated significant engagement on One Hundred’s social channels.

The concept invited ambassadors to capture a moment that would be immediately recognisable to other ultra runners, giving them room to draw on their own experiences inside a framework that brought different voices together.

Its strong engagement demonstrated the appeal of content built around shared experiences and an understanding of the sport outside of competitive results.

A closer connection between athletes and community

The ambassador programme reflects a collaborative approach to content creation. Athletes provide the expertise, experiences and perspectives that make each story meaningful, while Mana coordinates the process, develops briefs, manages production and identifies opportunities to connect individual contributions with the wider One Hundred calendar.

For One Hundred, this creates a more consistent way to feature its ambassadors across the season, from training and preparation to race-day experiences and the moments in between. For the athletes, it offers a platform to share their knowledge and personalities with an audience that understands the demands of trail running.

By making content creation easier to manage and building stories around the people who know the sport best, Mana helps bring One Hundred’s ambassador network closer to the community it represents.
