Mana Sports and Entertainment Group is proud to announce that its Executive Chairman Chris McCormack has officially joined the leadership team of the One Hundred® Sports Group as President of Global Strategy & Performance.
A four-time triathlon world champion and one of the most influential voices in modern endurance sport, McCormack brings a wealth of expertise as co-founder of global ventures such as Mana Group, Supertri, Bahrain Victorious 13, and the Pho3nix Foundation. Over the past decade, he has been instrumental in building performance-centric, commercially successful, and media-driven ecosystems around elite athletes and marquee sporting events around the world.
A proven innovator and strategic operator in the global sports startup landscape, McCormack has a strong track record of launching and scaling disruptive ventures within the endurance space over the past decade. His deep understanding of athlete performance drawn from a Hall of Fame career as an athlete, commercial alignment and partnership sourcing, and brand storytelling – all in combination with his global network – makes him uniquely positioned to help propel the One Hundred® Sports Group to the forefront of international trail and ultra-endurance competition.
In his new role, McCormack will shape the ongoing evolution of the One Hundred® Endurance Trail World Championship, the world’s first unified 100-mile and 100-kilometre trail running series. Now entering its third season, the series spans iconic global locations including Portugal, Italy, the United Kingdom, the United States, the United Arab Emirates, Costa Rica, and India, culminating in a spectacular Grand Final in Brazil with an elite prize purse of USD $50,000: one of the biggest ever offered in one of the world’s fastest-growing mass participation challenges.
With thousands of competitors already racing across distances from 100km to 200 miles and the introduction of immersive training camps and stage races, One Hundred® is redefining ultra-endurance sport with a vision to create and crown the first ever undisputed champion of Ultra Running. With McCormack’s strategic vision and leadership, the brand is poised to become the premier global platform in trail running and endurance competition.
He says, “Ultra trail running has drawn ever more runners not only toward tackling rugged and formidable courses around the globe, but into the hardy and adventurous lifestyle and community that sets this sport apart.
“Our vision is to honour that heritage while providing a more structured and consistent global framework through this series and help ratify this sport – to allow the world’s best athletes to compete against each other on iconic, demanding courses under a unified set of principles and guidelines. By doing so, we can elevate the stars of the sport, build a series of world-class events and showcase the true spirit and grit of the ultra-endurance trail running community.
“The sport’s exponential participation growth is testament to the timing that this has to be done now.”
