myBCA Belitung Multisport Festival: a Landmark Debut

On April 25-26, 2026 the inaugural myBCA Belitung Multisport Festival brought together endurance athletes across two days of racing on Belitung, one of Indonesia’s most stunning islands and a UNESCO Global Geopark.

Saturday opened the festival with a full slate of run events – a 5K, 10K, and 21K, and the Pho3nix Kids Race – alongside a 2K open water swim. Morning rain made for wet but spirited conditions, and athletes rose to the occasion across every distance.

Sunday delivered the festival’s centrepiece: an Olympic-distance triathlon set against the extraordinary backdrop of Pantai Tanjung Kelayang, known for its fine white sand, crystal-clear waters, and iconic giant granite formations. The course covered a 1.5-kilometre swim, a 40-kilometre bike leg along sweeping coastal roads, and a 10-kilometre run to the finish. Cooler conditions and calm currents made for near-perfect racing, and the atmosphere on course matched it.

Among the standout performances of the weekend, Inge Prasetyo, one of Indonesia’s foremost endurance athletes, claimed Top Overall Female honours in both the 21K and the triathlon, a remarkable double across two days of competition.

The festival also had its share of compelling personal stories. Renowned emcee Eveline Ong took on her first Olympic-distance triathlon and finished 2nd in her age group, a result that came despite a minor spill on the bike and leg cramps on the run. Both times, support was close at hand: marshals on course and the medical team responded quickly, keeping her race alive. “It was truly an unforgettable experience,” she said. “Belitung has always been on my dream destination list, so being able to race here made it even more special.”

The feeling was echoed by Irman Khoe, winner of the Male 50-54 age group. “It’s definitely one of the best multisports events in Indonesia. Nice venue and well-organized… Will definitely be back for this race because happiness is guaranteed!”

myBCA Senior Vice President Adrian said, “myBCA Belitung Multisport was a celebration of sport, nature, and togetherness in one unforgettable experience. We believe this event is not just a way to enjoy sport hobbies and practice a healthy lifestyle, but also to push the local economy in Belitung.”

For Mana Group Chairman and four-time triathlon world champion Chris McCormack, the Belitung Multisport Festival’s debut was exactly what he envisioned. McCormack was on the island alongside the Mana team across both days, taking part in the 10K run and the 2K open water swim. “I’ve raced everywhere in the world, and Belitung is something special. The island is stunning and its history with endurance sport runs deep. We built the myBCA Belitung Multisport Festival for every level of athlete and we’re stoked to have delivered a world-class experience on one of the most spectacular courses in the sport.”

The myBCA Belitung Multisport Festival is an owned-and-operated event by Mana Group, supported by myBCA as Naming Rights Partner. Full results are available on the Belitung Multisport website.
